I'm on quick fly through, but have all this Sunday 1st October to poke around. Any camera stores with analog gear near Granville Island, preferably walking distance, but that I mean some 3-5 km. Needs to be opened on Sunday of course. 35mm and MF gear, not so much LF.

IMO nothing worth going out of the way for. Too bad Leo's is permanently closed....that would have been the place to find unusual things....but they were never open sunday anyways. Enjoy Granville Island.

@GregY Thanks, that clear me up for some walk around and some shooting (D). I hear food market on Granville Island is interesting to see. Here I'm headed shortly.

Beau Photo would be nice to visit but they are closed Sunday and usually open 8:30 on Mondays, but tomorrow is a holiday. Hope you enjoy our part of the world 😊

Yes, the food is great, but beware of the seagulls.

My wife bought a lovely plate of food, and because it was such a beautiful sunny day, we decided to eat outside.

She got about two paces out the door and was ambush dive-bombed by a seagull which knocked the plate out of her hands. All the other seagulls within eyesight quickly joined in and the food was gone in a loud flapping swarm of gulls.

Thought you might want to know.

Wound up going in opposite direction towards cruise ship terminal as Food Market from afar was clearly very crowded and that scared me off before reaching it any closer.

But walking around, I've noticed Vancouver is a great city for street / city scapes, although birds seem to crap all over just like anywhere else 😀 But had no idea they were this advantageous with served food.

Now back out to find a good food place. Am told to avoid China Town area, but apparently there is a great Italian restaurant not far from it.

Won't have a chance this time, but will keep it in mind for next time. Thanks.

It looks to be a worldwide problem. I saw this warning in Venice, Italy last year.

I like your photos.
It is fascinating to see the familiar through the eyes of a visitor.

Thanks, but I do have a question: what is the deal with this ??? photo looked like bad attempt at phoshopping with first version of Microsoft Paint 😀

It's a transplanted tale - tall, short or of frog height - from the other end of Canada, 3588 miles or 5774 km away.

You have to watch out for those Maritimers 😉

Thanks, I was leaning towards something like this, but all I saw was that stand.
