Any TTL flash that work with OM-2sp?

I do not want to use the awkwardly looking T32 or bulky T45. Looking for a nice TTL flash that goes well with OM-2sp with bounce capabilities.

Olympus makes a T-20 flash. I'm not a fan of camera mounted flashes, I would opt for the T-32 and bounce grip for it. A standard PC cord connection for sync. I believe(IIRC) the OM-2 has a flash ready signal in the view finder, the OM-2sp has an auto flash indicator and works with any Olympus flash.

I have a cobra D400 that works with an OM2n. I don't have an SP, but I suspect it should be the same if the SP is designed to also work with the T20/32

I've happily used a T-32 with my OM-2S since I bought the camera new in the mid 1980s. It does actually work well.

My only complaint with the T-32 is that although the bounce function works well, it lacks swivel. I do, however, have a number of the TTl auto cords that permit retaining TTl functionality when I move the flash off the hot shoe.

I also have a Vivitar 4600 with the OM TTl dedicated shoe. It adds swivel so that is good, but the extra size and height is both good and bad. The extra height gives better modelling with landscape orientation shoe mounted flash, but the extra size and height is bulkier and has the potential to put more strain on the camera's shoe.

I was little crazy to try canon 430 EX II, first in manual mode and then in TTL. On manual modes it fires every now and then and with TTL, I do not want to say.

I was not so lucky with T-32, third cell from left was so hard to take it out and on one day I saw smoke coming out from the flash and found that third cell got burned.

Then shoe came off and now its dead altogether. Nevertheless, I was too nervous to use that.

Sorry to hear about the demise of your T-32. With the exception of a broken shoe resulting from a 1+ meter drop on to a marble floor (easily repaired) it has always worked flawlessly. I have, however only used standard alkaline batteries in it - no lithium or rechargeable batteries (although the manual indicates that Ni-Cd are fine).

In my opinion, the biggest reason to consider the T-32 or T-45 over third party providers is the Olympus TTl cords.

Seems to be a manual flash. I rarely use a manual flash with 35mm, and almost never outside of a studio environment.

I think that if you have the TTl flash functionality in a camera, it's worthwhile having a flash that gives you the option of using it.

They pretty much all work as advertised. There should be nothing restrictive on the OM series, baring needing a manual adpater om the OM-10.

You can set the OM10 into M and get 1/60th without a manual adapter. It works great for generic flashes.
