I have a Minox35 and am having issues finding a battery. I know an option is to use several small batteries instead but that ups the voltage a little. Has anyone tried this? Thanks

Hi Ross, a small adapter is available, using four V386 batteries. It contains a small resistance which brings the voltage down to the right level. I think you can get it at www.minoxlab.com, or if you are in europe at www.minoxbeimeister.de. It is designed for the Minox 8X11 cameras, but I have used it in a Minox 35 without problems. The right solution for the Minox 35 cameras is to obtain a new battery holder that fits exactly in the camera, and holds the four batteries. I think they are also available at Minoxlab, but I am not sure. Be sure to specify the camera when ordering as the battery holder is different on most of the Minox 35 cameras.

Regards

Thanks man! I didn't realize the adaptor had a resistor on it.

Ross,

New Minox 35 camera comes with two lithium CR 1/3N batteries.

Older Minox 35 (except ML ) uses 5.6 v mercury PX27
You may also use 6v silver oxide replacement for PX27, S27PX /SPX27
available from www.swssec.com

New Minox TLX /CLX comes with an adapter with four 1.5 v silver oxide 386 cells
