This is one of my favorite graded papers, especially the embossed variant. Freestyle ran out of most grades and sizes. However, Slavich still makes them and I can order directly from the factory and ask a friend to bring it from Moscow. That is not very convenient because I am afraid it can get spoiled in checked luggage by the airport scanners, and it is hard to asking someone to put a lot of paper into the carry-on.

The factory can ship to me directly, but to make this economically feasible I need to order larger quantities. I therefore want to check how many other people would like to buy it. Possible sizes are 5x7, 8x10, 11x14, grades are 2, 3, they have glossy, glossy embossed (similar to the surface popular in Russian portrait studios of the 70s) or matte. There will probably be 100 sheets in each package. All "Slavich double weight" (but that is still thin by Ilford/Adox standards).

I am not sure of the prices yet, but expect the final price for a box of 8x10 to someone in US to be around $70 plus domestic S&H. Still less than 1/2 the price of equivalent Ilford graded paper.

If we do this, I can get Unibrom (their other graded fiber paper) for you too.

No line so far. Makes sense that Freestyle saw this and stopped importing Slavich paper.

There are folks in US interested in Slavich, there was a thread (last year?) (there was a url link here which no longer exists) You might contact the posters and rock 'n roll a shipment.
I think MaximusM3 and Thomas Bertilsson and a few others are one of the Slavich fans.
This paper is definitely worth the effort and pretty much no substitute to it.

Good luck!

Thanks, looked at those and posted there. So far nobody has Bromportrait or immediate plans to bring it to North America. That is, except assorted Freestyle leftovers.

As I am not in North America, out of curiosity I went to what is apparently the Slavich website and got a malicious-software warning. If they are trying to sell from their website then this won't help build a customer base for them.

Good luck with your import plans as the paper is reputedly a lot nicer than the website!

The functioning trading site is actually http://tdslavich.ru, without an English version. Yes, it looks like they have neglected their English site for a while and someone is abusing it.
