I picked up a box of "old" view camera stuff at a garage type sale a couple of years ago. There was a 5x7 Burke & James with 4x5 back that had the above lens on it. I sold some of the stuff but kept the lens. It seems to be coated and is in a synchro compur shutter. Have any of you used this lens? If so, what format?

It should cover 8x10, with little room to spare. An 8 1/4 dagor is an awesome lens. I used to own one, and will again some day.

Fantastic lens, covers 8x10". I have one.

Great wide angle lens for 8x10. Worth around $1,000.00 I believe, depending on the condition.

Thanks for all the info. I'm gonna mount it for my 8x10. One more question . . . what filter size does it take? I tried some I had at home and a 40.5 mm was just a bit too large. Might it be 40mm? Seems that the front and rear are the same. There are no real camera stores around here anymore. Used to be you could take your lens in and see what would fit.

It's probably some series size. For all my odd sized old lenses, I use a clip on 3x3" gel holder with barndoors made by Voss. I think I picked mine up used from KEH.
