Any ideas regarding this 4x5 SLR?

It's very impressive. I like the apparent compactness. Two questions; Can the back be rotated for verticals? It looks like the GG can go in place of the back for situations where the camera is at eye level, or higher?

That's correct....two ground glass screens have to be better than one?
No rotating back yet, but that's a very good idea.. This camera body doesn't allow for that aspect, but it would be possible with an increase in body height.

Is there a reason for the screen/top being at an angle? i.e. not 90 degrees to the lens/film plane.

Possibly for extra space for the mirror up mechanism?

I love the mirror up lever, does it click into the indent, or is it locked up another way?

3.2kg is not that heavy if you consider the all metal construction.

Perhaps a tripod screw on the side will suffice for portrait mode?

Are you intending to go into small production, or is this just for yourself?

It appears to be a very good concept, although in hot weather, metal can get very warm to touch if it's in the sun.

The angled prism seems like it might be troublesome at times. I would think that the placement of a mirror might mean a limit on using shorter lenses. have you considered a smaller mirror and adapting something like an RB67 prism finder? Another thought would be a mirror that drops down, which might make the top and angled finder placement easier to change.

Yes I manufacture cameras of all types as well as work in a large camera store each day...........
Guess I can't help it, but everything about cameras is my passion. (Obsession?)
I have a machine shop, but never enough hours.
My first Polaroid conversion was in 2001.

Seems like a good idea....Take a Rollei SL66 and make it 4x5! I know I'd be interested in one if it had a rotating back, and hopefully there's a grid on the ground glass. A "universal" lens board would help sales as well.
