it is the spool core from a 100-foot roll of bulk film. I toss them when the roll is done.

send a note to Kodak or Ilford. They may be able to supply you with some. Of course, they may insist on providing 33 meters of film with each one.

op says it is 30mm wide/long, so it could be the core from a roll of 35mm, just not as wide as the film.

I dunno, not going to open a bulk loader just to find out, but that's what it looks like.

It’s not a standard core. Type A core would have a square centre opening, this one has a round bore.

With large rolls a core much less wide than the film may cause kink stress on the film.
In any case a core less wide than the film necessitate a distance bridging ring at the winder. Not a technical problem, but it would make the core less universal.
