it is the spool core from a 100-foot roll of bulk film. I toss them when the roll is done.I'm clueless. But curious.
send a note to Kodak or Ilford. They may be able to supply you with some. Of course, they may insist on providing 33 meters of film with each one.I'd love to buy about 50 of those but haven't ever found a source...

Could this be for 16mm film?A 35mm film core would be 35mm wide.

op says it is 30mm wide/long, so it could be the core from a roll of 35mm, just not as wide as the film.Those are 16mm wide.
