Rolls of paper through a Hasselblad. Interesting. Wonder if it would work in something like my auto advance Fuji GA645? And yes the paper thickness vs film thickness, I wonder how that works itself out...small aperture only perhaps? Quite expensive per roll too...

Cute project, except the music in the video had me wanting to take an electric drill to my temple halfway through, what god awful irritating music!

A new Kickstarter project. This time for "Dead Link Removed by Mercury works"
What is it? "A modular, open camera system capable of shooting any format (medium and large format film, digital, Instax...) and using any lens."
Looks interesting, but will it work? They reach for $50.000 on July, 4th.

"Side view of a Mercury showing one possible configuration (most Kickstarter rewards don't include the
lens/shutter, strap, rangefinder, or film back; these are shown for illustrative purposes only)."

They reached their goal. There is another video with details and a demo of the camera options:

"THE DOLOMITES: OUR GOAL IS TRANSFORMING A RUSSIAN MILITARY TRUCK INTO A HUGE CAMERA AND CAPTURE THE LIGHT OF THIS UNIQUE MOUNTAINS"

A worthy goal! He's gonna use the huge Nikkor 1780 mm lens.

Nice project. What is missing in your description is what the "dual sensor module" is for. I'm guessing I'll need it for a SLR with two curtains (vertical) shutter? Without this module I can only test older cameras wit a single horizontal (cloth) shutter, like a box camera?

Hey Bert, thanks for that feedback. I will add that to my project description. The single sensor can test any shutter. The dual sensor is for doing curtain shutter tests, whether vertical or horizontal. Older SLRs use horizontal curtains, newer SLRs use vertical plastic or metal vanes. You only need the dual sensor to do more detailed SLR testing.

Thanks. I backed your project. I could really use a tool like this to test my many old analogue cameras.

Great, I backed the project even before I read this, and even before I knew you were a fellow APUG'er.
Looking forward to the product!

I just finished shipping testers out to all of my backers. Bert, yours is on the way!
Nice! I've got a line-up of cameras waiting to be tested.
