Any good Kickstarter & Indiegogo photo projects to be seen

Once in a while there are some fine crowd funding for analogue photo projects like books, cameras, new film, etc.
Problem is, sometimes one sees it only when the funding has ended.

So, If you've seen a good ongoing funding campaign please report it here, if it is (analogue) photography related.
Share the link to Kickstarter, Indiegogo or where ever the campaign is hosted and don't forget the mention when it will end.

I search Kickstarter from time to time but often see pathetic projects (remember the asses around the world one?), or lame ones asking people to fund their mediocre photographic travels. From time to time good book projects from some talented photographers. I was really keen on Kickstarter for a time but stopped after about 60-70% of them taking 3-5x longer than anticipated or resulting in quite a lame result.

(Addendum: I re-read your post and apologize for being nice such a wet blanket. I'm a bit burned from unrealized expectations. You post is a good one to highlight neat and admirable projects, I'll share here when I see them).

To start I would like to recommend a book funding campaign for a B&W analogue photo book:

Spectator - book of photographs by Krešimir Kopčić

I admire his work so I gladly support his upcoming book. He has a good eye for shapes, context, settings and forms. And all images are technically perfect.

The three images that impressed me most are:
- By the Way # 5
- Lines and shapes # 1
- North # 6.
It will be a joy and inspiration to view his book!

BTW: this campaign is new and has 26 days left from now (from May 25th).



Edit: I asked him what he used for the photography in his book. He answered: "mostly Leica M7 with different lenses, mostly Tri-X, mostly Xtol and mostly Fomabrom 111"

A true concern, I know, but I'm an optimist
And besides many "lame" or "boring" projects, there were some good ones. And hopefully with this thread we can keep an eye on only the worthy ones, without have to look/search through so many not-so-good-ones.

Another nice recent project: Dead Link Removed. (Ending June 25th, 2015)

Their first Kickstarter project was about 2 years ago. And I've heard good things about their cameras from several users.
I'm getting me a nice little 6x6 camera so i'll never have to leaf home without a pinhole camera.

I like their 6x17 curved film plane camera as well, but I already have a 6x17 from Natasha.
I do still need a fine 5x7 inch pinhole camera, but I can't afford one right now.

I've had good luck with kickstarter and indiegogo.
Photography equipment wise, I backed the Foldio portable light tent (which worked out well and gets moderate use) and a set of wireless flash triggers whose claim to fame was being tiny. They delivered, but I've never used them because I ended up buying a set of Youngno flashes with wireless reciever integrated right into them (I know Youngno doesn't get a lot of love online, but these have worked out fantastic for me). I also backed the Walter Kosseler project (a photobook of a German officer from WW1).

The only photography related project I still have on the go is Film Ferrania.

I'll be following this thread to see what other ideas people post.

This showed up in my Facebook account today. I know a photographer who tapes his digital camera to the top of a cheapo TLR camera -- the digital camera captures the image off the GG of the TLR viewfinder. I'll have to tell him about this -- perhaps he can get a kickstarter going for his idea!

I saw this Dead Link Removed. It was not what I firt thought it would be about, but still, it's analogue and these guys seem to have humor. So I thought I'll mention it here anyway.

It's named "pinhole" and will be shot on a Panavision Super 16mm camera with Kodak film stock.

We spent a long time accumulating a stash of pack film housings, rollers and other assorted parts so that we can finally make the 4X5 pack film holder a sustainable reality. The plan is to have this as a regular stock item for years to come, allowing new users to feed their desire for shooting instant film. Along with the revival of 4X5 BW P/N material by the New55 project, we hope to create a broad base of users who enjoy shooting large format instant film.
We have already done the bulk of work to bring this product to life. We have spent hours designing, perfecting and testing our concept (as well as hundreds of sheets of instant film), and we are almost ready to go. All we need is just a little bit more help to get this rolling and out into the world. 100% The funds will go towards fabrication and design work as well as the cost of the parts that go into each and every holder (screws, darkslides etc.,). We will also be continuing to get more pack film housings so that we have a steady supply of parts for years to come, which is where any excess funds raised will go towards.
We expect the regular retail price to be higher then the Kickstarter promotional price (between $189-$199 for the regular black version), so this is a great chance to get a unit.

I wonder about the thickness of paper versus film, and how they will make that work. I can imagine that will not be as easy as it might seem. Nevertheless, an interesting project.
