Any Good Camera Strap Suggestions?

The photoproshop.com site sucks. The popup phots are barely larger than the original photos. Server response is slow, and site design is barely average.

By the way, this is not meant as a response to the previous note -- just a general observation.

I also use OP Tech straps with long attachments, and they are good for a heavy SLR(Canon New F1) and a big and heavy RF press camera(Mamiya Press). The only thing I don't like about the OP Tech products is the logos that are too big, but I can't find alternative.

But for smaller cameras, almost anything is good. For Nikon FM, right now I have a cheap, thin, but retty durable blue Hakuba strap with no logos on it.

I use the Op-Tech Pro Loop Strap with my F2/MD-2/50-300 Zoom, works great, the weight distribution of the strap realy makes the rig feel lighter.

I use Op-Tech as well, the system is great. I have the connectors (about 7 bucks apeice from B&H) connected to my OMs, Rollei TLRs, and Medalist and one strap that moves arount to the camera I am using. The other thing is that on my OMs I just use the connectors as a wrist strap.

On my ELAN 7, I use a nikon strap, and I think it's this one. Feels sturdier than most of the other straps.

At one time--and maybe still--Nikon made a great little narrow strap. It came in gaudy Nikon yellow or black, it was a continuous nylon strap with metal adjustment buckle and it was the most secure camera strap I've ever owned. Once you attached it securely to a piece of equipment, it wasn't coming off easily. I bought those black straps for everything--all my Nikons, my binoculars, my Leica rangefinder, my Mamiya TLR--everything that needed a strap. Then cameras got bigger and heavier and lenses got faster and heavier and straps got uncomfortable or they got wider. I eventually ended up with the Op-Tech straps on almost every camera.

I only ever use a strap to wrap around my wrist in the event the camera slips out of my hand. APUG advertiser Gordy (http://www.electricedge.com/gordy_s_straps/) makes leather straps to order.

I recently purchased one of Gordy's neck straps for my Leica M2 and it's beatifully made. Other than being very functional, it also gives the camera a nice "retro" look.

I have my doubts about how comfortable they would be on a heaver body with a zoom lens, though.

All my other cameras wear Domke Grippers and I recommend them highly for their comfort and strength.
