Any chance to get TF-5 fixer in europe?

Some years have passed, and I wonder - is there any good alternative for TF-5 available in Europe now?

For what it's worth I did email with Photographers’ Formulary Inc. and they are not aware of anybody selling TF-5 over here, sadly..

C-41 fixer. It gets the residual dyes out of B&W films astonishingly well and has minimal odour.

As it is, TF5 seems largely to have been conceived as a way to deliver C-41 fixer characteristics in a package that was sold in smaller quantities for B&W users than in colour processing kits or quasi-industrial volumes (5L and up).

Interesting... you’d have to ask Formulary about this SDS to be sure but that doesn’t look right (unless they’ve changed the formula). From what I remember several years ago the pH of TF-5 was in the 6.5 range.

Is it really near-neutral? If so, the msds must be in error:

Ilford Hypam is slightly less acidic and is considered an acid fixer.

Anyway, there are at least four odourless neutral/alkaline fixers readily available from EU vendors. I’ve been using one of them, and it is indeed odourless, unless you really sniff the 30×40 cm tray up close.

Well, there's more funny stuff in their product information:

Conventional sodium thiosulfate (rapid) fixers suffer from this defect especially.

That doesn't make a whole lot of sense either way.

I agree with @Lachlan Young that a very good alternative is C41 fixer. It's also more concentrated and thus significantly cheaper if you consider the working strength dilution.
