I have really enjoyed a EOS 1V I bought to compliment my 5D Mark III. I have been shooting Portra 400 at ISO 200 and was curious what films others are shooting. I also have been playing with Personal functions and the ES-E1 software. Anyone using this?

I looked into it when I got my 1V's, quickly found that although the software could be downloaded, the required interface cable was well-nigh impossible to find. That was the end of that.

The 1V is my goto film camera as well - I have quite a few Canon film bodies, but the 1V focus speed and robustness means I tend to use it regardless. I have not tried it with any software, but might take a look into it...

Plus as you previously said, my digital Canon bodies share lenses well :D - just dont buy any EF-S ones.

I have been shooting Illford Pan 100, but I am going to try some Foma Classic 100 to try and shake things up a bit.

I use the 1v with the es-e1 cable and software. Very handy for some custom settings, and nice for the data logging too! Runs fine under emulation on VMware fusion on a Mac.

Interesting thanks! I have been using it on Win XP but will try it on my Mac!

Ha I ordered some Foma Classic 100 last week! Great minds think alike.
