I am not sure what this post is for; maybe a call to discussion?

I'll bite... I would have printed it with less contrast, there is probably a lot of delicate detail to be seen. The "ethereal plume of mist" really does not come across in this very dramatic, strong, print. Otherwise, composition and balance are exquisite!

But I am not Ansel Adams ... and he is good!

PS. Considering 1927, he may be more locked into his negative than we are now...
