If you are referring to Simon Galley, he retired from Ilford and from here, years ago... It's too bad someone from Ilford didn't step in to take his place...
Well no-one did in my opinion, Andrew, in the sense of being a regular contributor as Simon was. He gave the impression of always being there when needed.
Given that times change, would his role have remained the same, had Harman not been sold to Pemberstone Venture Capital? I honestly don't know but yes I feel as if Photrio lost something when he went
I'll have to pay more attention, then. My elementary teachers were right all along. "Andrew would be a good student, if he paid more attention" (and I would always say to myself, "ya well...maybe if you weren't so blinkin' boring, maybe I would pay more attention!")
Simon was definitely one of the good guys on here. He was always available whenever I had questions. With the current state of film photography and the use of social media by every company that supplies film, paper, and chemicals, you would think that they would make Photrio a priority for keeping their customers informed and engaged about their products.

It would suggest that the new IlfordPhoto may not regard Photrio as important enough in terms of our number to dedicate an executive in the way that Simon was dedicated to us
