Hello,

Just found this site today, in a link from another well-known site (ph*t*.net!)
It's a relief to find so many people who are so dedicated to, and know so much about, film. In fact, I'm SO impressed, I've already subscribed (which really is a first for me).

I mainly shoot either colour transparencies or B&W (either chromogenic, traditional or SFX), plus sometimes C-41 print film. I do most wet processing myself and can make small B&W prints without too many issues, but have to scan and print for colour work since I don't have access to a colour setup. (Hopefully this won't push me into the hybrid forum!) Film scanning is a very good solution for me, but the only changes I allow myself to make are in cropping, sharpening, brightness and contrast (all of which are easily achievable in the traditional domain). Films used range fairly well across the board, but I tend increasingly towards Fuji and Ilford (Harman) products these days.

So, I'm looking forward to some good times!

Welcome from the South Midlands, Peter. Which part of the Wirral? Rediscovered Port Sunlight and its museum recently. I used to go to Wallasey 18+ in the 70s which met in the Penny Farthing on the front at New Brighton. Does it still exist? Have a great time here - I am sure you will.

Welcome, Peter. you're in good, and large, company. I don't know the numbers but it seems like 50% of APUG users are in the UK, 50% of APUG users are in the USA, 50% of APUG users are in Australia and 50% of APUG users are in Canada.
