Well, it's not mine but my youngest came home with a Minolta XD11 with a Vivitar 2x tele Converter and a Minolta MD Rokkor-X 50mm 1:1.4 lens. An older friend gave it to her. He didn't know how to use it and figured he wouldn't learn. It is pretty dirty but the shutter seemed to fire OK. It had batteries in it that didn't fit right so I don't know what all works and what dosn't. It is pretty rough but appears to be a pretty solid old camera. I just love free stuff!!!

Some people are so lucky ...
The Minolta XD-11 is an excellent camera, I'm still looking for one myself for the right price. I haven't been lucky to get any gear free.
The Rokkor 50mm f/1.4 is also a nice lens, specially if it as a 55 mm filter thread.

You can't beat free stuff. I don't know if it is worth CLA, you could look into it.

The XD-11 is an excellent camera. It was the first multi-mode camera, offering both shutter- and aperture-priority autoexposure.

Like other camera makers from the mid-1970s, Minolta followed Olympus' lead in making a smaller body.

I think the XD-11 is a great camera. Some of the cameras have a shrinkage problem with the body covering. I've seen that with two of three XD-11s that I've serviced. I replaced the covering on mine with material from Aki-Asahi.
