@warden. You could still post in that group that you have this scanner for sale. As long as you are honest about the condition (and specific about the issues), you should get a buyer. Note that you should double-box the scanner. Frank A. Phillips even has some postings about to pack a scanner for safe shipment.
Yes I'll make sure both scanners find a new home, hopefully without need to ship.

Good idea. Yeah that is my issue with the regular gate - it's basically the width my images, but the film can wander a bit, so sometimes it is cut off.

I'd really like them to offer a middle gate. They are 3D printed after all, it shouldn't be *that* much work.

a couple thicknesses of copy paper between each gate and frame will snug it up a lot. Just add layers until it starts to drag, then back off a layer. I use the gate as a template to cut the paper out and just poke holes in the paper for the screws. Once you have it dialed in, you don’t really have to change it except for the occasional roll that is a little wider than usual.

I was going to start a new thread but decided to latch onto this one. My much loved Skier Copybox has developed the annoying habit of shutting itself off in the middle of a scan. I'm not sure if it's a loose connection or something more nefarious but just enough to pull out the credit card and order a Negative Supply Film Carrier MK 1 and the hood that attaches to cut down on the amount of stay light hitting the negative. Of course their 4X5 light box is on backorder and I'm debating wether to wait or get a Kaiser Plano. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
