Folks it has been a long time coming but I am happy to report that my home darkroom went online today! It has been 13 years since I have last printed and it felt so wonderful to get back into it! Thanks to all for your help with my often inane questions about obscure enlarger parts and such.
I am in the fun process of evaluating papers to determine what works for me. Sure I will use more than one, but trying to narrow down my focus.
Straight printing today, no toning. Printed Ilford Warmtone FB Glossy, Ilford Warmtone FB Semi-Matte, Ilford MGIV FB Glossy and Ilford MGIV FB Matte.
Jury is still out what will work for me as my main go-to, but it just feels wonderful to get my hands wet again regardless.
Stuck with one image of my daughter and printed it for each paper's needs (filtration, timing, burn times for subject, etc).
Really bad camera phone grab of the prints below.
Thanks all for everything!
