The next “Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2015” (WPPD2015) is at hand: Sunday April 26th, 2015.

So NedL and I would like to ask you all to post a link here to your pinhole photograph from that day, as soon as you uploaded it to the WPPD Gallery (see also: http://www.pinholeday.org/participate/). You could also post some images here, if you like.

attachment.php

And remember: you have still over a month to tinker up a simple pinhole camera and get some film or photo paper to shoot with.
Need help, tips or inspiration? Check this out: http://www.pinholeday.org/support/

What is WPPD about?
New to pinhole photography or WPPD?
“Anyone, anywhere in the world, who makes a pinhole photograph on the last Sunday in April, can scan it and upload it to this website where it will become part of the annual Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day celebration's online gallery.”http://www.pinholeday.org
There will be several workshops all around the world on this day. You don’t have to have experience or a pinhole camera yourself, there are often extra cameras available to use (but ask in advance). You can locate a local event here:http://www.pinholeday.org/events/index.php

Sincerely,
The Ambassadors of Pinhole Photography,

If all works out I'll have an 8x10 camera to shoot with this year. If not then I'll be using a Lenless Camera Mfg Co 4x5 wide that I picked up last week off eBay for a few bucks.

I've been having fun with my new Reality So Subtle 6x17 so it will definitely be out that day!

I would love to handle one of those once, but I'm also very happy with my Natasha 6x17 wooden camera.
I think I'll load it up with some more Fuji colour film for WPPD. And maybe shoot some paper negatives in my homebuild wooden cameras.

I may try to rebuild my mattboard and paper box 8x10 from 2013. If not, I have a 4x5 that works great. I'll likely go to Ohiopyle or Pittsburgh, so if anyone else is in western PA and wants to join me, give a holler!

Actually, that reminds me that I bought 6 sheets of about 12x20" foamcore a while ago, still haven't made that into a box.
If I can manage it, I'll get that built. If not, i've still got the 11x16" suitcase (still loaded), the 8x10 and 4x5 monorails, and whatever MF I can muster...

Doc, didn't you have a wheeliebin pinhole planned at one stage?

Yep, still in the planning, I've still got that 42" roll of god-knows-what Agfa Direct-positief film.
Kind of hit a snag when I lost my job end of last year, don't really have the money to splash out on luxuries like $200 on a new wheelie bin.
I've also got a 600mm Apo-Tessar in a mirror-reversing mount to put in the wheelie bin too.
I do have the time though, now that I'm back at uni that's only 10-15 hours per week in lectures. So maybe it'll happen one day, like when the government gets off its ass and approves my Ausstudy allowance...

My Reality So Subtle 6x17 shipped this last Monday! I haven't used a pinhole camera since I was a kid... a looong time ago. I cant wait to get this thing up in the mountains and certainly plan on taking part in WPPD this year!

Me too, that's my "main" camera for WPPD, and as much as I like my whole "family" of pinhole cameras, that's the one that will come out when I think I see the best shot of the day. My mat board camera got a little crushed and needs some reinforcement around the edges, but I'll fix it up in time.

The previous two years' WPPD, let's say, didn't work out for me at all, maybe third time lucky?

It is sometimes said "Third time is the charm" -- hope this year works out for you!

Last year I was close to trying to be in two different places at the same time, but I managed to get in a bit of pinholing early in the day and process the results later in the week.

I hope a digital pinhole counts as well.

Possibly. But I've given up on digital pinholes, even 135 film and probably won't even do 120 either. Pinholes just work so much better with increasing format sizes, I think 4x5 or 6x9 is the smallest I'd bother with anymore...

I tried it with my Nikon d...l camera but I guess with longer exposures there is to much reflection by the chip itself or something.
I didn't like it so paper and film negatives it is for me.

I saved a sturdy cardboard box from a new computer keyboard. It's just high enough for 120 roll film.
I want to turn it into a giant panorama pinhole camera, maybe even with 2 or 3 pinholes?

- focal length: 20 cm (8 inch)
- negative size: 6 x 66 cm curved film plane (ratio 1:11)
- pinhole size: yet to be determined

Stereo pinhole panorama? Now that would be cool...

Looking forward to my first year at WWPD. Spent a lot of time working out exposure times and getting normal contrast over the winter. Now to decide the subject....hmmmm

What'd you end up with?
When I shoot paper I use MGiv with a 52E yellow-green filter, my times are about 7 stops slower than what I get at ei6, f/32 (the limit of my digisix), which is about f/256 at ei3 or something. and then maybe an extra stop or half if I don't mind waiting (and if there's enough sun that it's a 4 minute exposure, no way I'm adding a stop onto a half-hour shot).
