Well gentleman, I've been working my tail off at the computer trying to get the site completed and I am almost there. Due to the delay on my end I have extended the early registration to April 10th and may add a couple days, but I don't want it to appear desperate. Paid registrations started out well, but have fizzled leaving me with about 15. A couple dribble in every couple of days, but it is leaving me a little concerned. Not too bad yet, as we really haven't begun to contact schools, other sites, etc. So far this is all from APUG.

I also have about 60 that registered before I started collecting the fees. They will all get an email blast tonight saying that payment is now being accepted. Hopefully they'll follow through. It won't be a surprise as the registration form stated the fee would be collected later.

I have also started running the ad banner here in APUG. I will change that every few days to keep it fresh and in people's minds.

I am also getting ready to announce it on the LF Forum, but am afraid of pulling back a bloody stump. That can be a pretty unfriendly place as you all know. I really don't care about that much though. We'll see what the malcontents can throw at me.

So, I'm hoping you will all have my back with helping to creat the buzz. Feel free to plug away if you so choose. Email your schools, alma matters, etc. and if you have a workshop, feel free to blast your lists as well. I really want to make the workshops fly as there is not much point in making Sandy and Kerik come all this way if not. I've had a lot of interest and promises, but no follow through as of yet aside from a couple in the Wet Plate shop.

Thanks guys! More to come!

OK. I just sent a brief announcement to the alternative process list. I alluded to the fact that several alt process list members will be holding workshops that week without mentioning everyone's name. I figure that way Kerik and Sandy can follow up with later announcements.

Thanks Joe,

I've also made announcements on Hybrid and the Collodion forums, so feel free to follow up there if any of you get the urge. I will do Large Format sometime today. I also have a Facebook Event set up that will go live later today. Later I will set up a Facebook page for the event so that others can post pictures, etc.

As for sign-ups, I have a little more than 20 at this time. The wet plate workshop has 4 so far and the digi-neg 1. I'd really like to get these all going somehow. I've written personally to several that earlier expressed interest, but nothing yet. I think the schools are the best bet there.

More to come.

Bill,

Do you have a printable pdf we could forward to schools and other contacts? That might be more successful than just emailing links.

That's something I need to work on Joe. For now I think links will be fine as that is where they have to register anyway. I'll get a good pdf together.

OK... I've made the announcement in LF, Hybrid, Facebook, Collodion Forum. Feel free to bump these threads if you can.

Thanks! Bill

I just read the posting on Facebook. It looks good. The photograph on the north shore of Lake Michigan from the first year brought back fond memories.
