Warhol wasn't just the photographer who was most famous with Polaroid (SX70).

He also did a lot with 35mm and, early on, with photocopy machines.

At DIA Gallery on Hudson River I've seen huge exhibits of Warhol's serigraphs. A serigraph is a type of photo print that when desired, can look as "photographic" as many more popular "alternative" methods (can rival dye transfer for some images)...though is better known for wild colors.

Serigraphy is mostly ignored by consumer-oriented publications and hobbyists because it centers on imagery and doesn't appeal to shoppers.

Serigraphy is nothing else but silk-screen printing, though the term is typically applied to art work silk-screen printing.

I know a silk-screen printer doing only art work and making editons who even never used that term.

If you like Warhol, you should make the trek to Pittsburgh to the Warhol Museum sometime. https://www.warhol.org They have a great chronology on the top floor with lots of pictures throughout his life.
