I had the good fortune to ride in an elevator with this lady in the 1950s at a PSA convention in Houston, TX. At that convention she was presented with an award for her work in photography. She traveled with a lady who helped her onto and off the elevator. At the time she was, I believe, suffering from Parkinson's disease. A few years later I was delighted to see her on TV, spry, and well able to take care of herself. She was one of the early patients to receive L-Dopa which helped her immensely. She died several years later. L-Dopa did not cure but it did allow people to live a "normal" life. This was almost 20 years after the above article was published. She was a civilian combat photographer in a bomber over Germany in WW2......Regards!
