An approach to metering for black & white film with the Mamiya 7II?

I seem to recall Sandy King posted his process for metering black & white film with the internal camera meter at some point here on APUG, but can't find the reference. I'm aware the 7ii has a fixed size metering area but are there any particular characteristics of the meter I should be aware of considering my usual approach with other cameras is to use a Pentax Digital Spotmeter?

80 and below is almost spot, 150 is just average.

I tend to use the spotmeter with it, but A/AEL works just fine.

Have you noticed any tendency for under or over exposure? The Bronica RF645 tended towards underexposure when presented with a high contrast scene.

no, mine always exposes well, you only have to have some care if you're not using AEL and there is something too bright or too dark over the RF patch.
