Hmm, fresh film stinks like some benign organic solvents, and the roll films smell like the glue on the tape that you seal a used roll with. Kodak Park used to smell like that.

Lots of gelatin can smell as well, particularly mixed up and going bad. I have not really enjoyed Jello since I went to work for Kodak. :D

I was gifted the remains of a biochem reseach division stores of a company's chem stocks after a bankruptcy. In it there was a stock of fish gelaton. I was never able to get a good sizing when using it with my cyanotyoe efforts. So down the toilet (for real) it went.

Hi All,
Sorry that I have not participated lately. Here are 2 examples of emulsions containing no gelatin. At risk of sounding like a broken record B&S has a supply of Kuraray R1130, which is what I currently use in place of gelatin.
Cheers Bill
P.S. Sorry if I have posted these befor.
