Artcraft Chemicals now has a small ammount of Amidol in stock. I just recieved my order today. I know lots of people are out of it...so go get some quick!

PS-Im not sure if Photographers Formulary has theirs in stock yet thought.

I am aware of the association between Amidol and Azo - but does it have the same effect when used with other papers - Oriental Seagul for example?

Yes, but as with any paper developer, you need to try it with the specific paper and see if you like what it does.

I have used Amidol and Graded Oriental with a water bath and it works just great. Check my gallery here and see the photo labeled Atlantic City

J&C Exposition graded (same as Cachet Expo RF, Maco Expo RF, Efke Emaks) responds nicely to amidol and waterbath.

Ilford Galerie graded and MGIV FB and RC don't seem to do much in amidol that couldn't be done in Dektol.

I really liked using Oriental Seagull in Amidol when I tried. I might give it a try again this weekend, and experiment abit.
