I'm curious if anyone can tell me about this camera. It is stamped with Amer Optical Co Scovill Mfg Co It has a Waterburry Lens No 8034. The back swings open. The opening at the back when open is not quite a 4x5 dimension.

I'm curious if the company made a "film" holder for it or how you actually shot with it.

Thanks for the link. Interesting read. I wish there was a way to shoot with it other than getting into wet plate. Would be fun to take it out and see the reaction it generates with people, the conversations that it could start.

You "could" make a back to use a standard 4X5 holder if there's room for a frame in front of the hinged back Think something on the order of a reducing back.
I've found things like this are more for giggles than anything else though.
