The following may be useful - and encouraging - to some of you:
Dead Link Removed

In addition to the films reviewed on the National Academy site above, there are two others, "Orwo" (from Germany) and "Tasma" (from Russia) mentioned here:

I see all this panic about films not being made, when actually they are still being made. Ilford may have downsized to attract a new buyer, but what does that tell you? A NEW BUYER! a buyer who buys a film and paper production company, is going to produce film and paper don't you think? It is like speculating a company like Kodak who has billions in revenues from it's film is going to drop it all and back away from billions. Clue Kodak last year had an increase in it's color film purchases. That when they thought there was no coming back for color. By floundering around and saying you want an alternative is just doing what you are afraid of. You are cutting the sales, and thus accelerating the demise if it were to happen. Buying what you know from the companies like Ilford, will also show that sales are strong, and attract that new buyer.

Providing a convenient list of films is hardly the same as advocating that people run from Ilford.

Ilford are not gone but if everyone that happily uses Ilford now starts checking out all sorts of [possibly mediocre] alternatives droping Ilfords sales even further that will certainly accelerate their demise.

Personally I have just bought a huge supply of Ilford chemicals and paper. Not stockpiling just a vote of confidence in Ilford, the company, their staff and their products.

Same here, but what do I do with the food that I've had to throw out of the fridge to make room for it, apart from eat it of course? Must sign off and go shopping for another fridge!

Well said !!! Yes, ILFORD is still here, so please keep buying from us - it's the customers that we rely on!!

Again, well said! Thanks for the vote of confidence in us - we appreciate it!

You could send the food to some of our now redundant workforce....
