Been at this for about a year, so would that classify me as a novice or an intermediate? Also, I started LF at the same time as pd/pt printing so there's an extra step to deal with Having seen the prints of others I would say novice.

Also, I plan on trying out a couple of different processes for the next couple of exchanges--make my own glass plates for exposing and printing (dry plate, not wet plate), gum bichromate, gum over palladium, tri-color gum, albumen, cyanotype, etc. etc. etc... there are just so many!

I know how to make my stuff look good. And then, I have been "outed" as an "expert" in this thread, so put that "e" behind my name.

Although at home, I consider myself world famous....

Gum novice here. So much I want to learn in this field. Looking for an internet buddy to walk me through tri-colour gum next year if anyone is mad enough to take me on.

I have never attempted any alt processes before, so put me down as a novice.

Although by the time we actually send out the prints I hope to have some nice Pd/Pt prints to share.

Joe,

LOL. At home we all should be treated as superstars

For me, how about half an e? On a good day, I feel quite capable, on a bad day, well, let's not talk about that...

Sorry, I didn't realize I needed to make a response but I consider myself an expert since I've been doing alt processes for a good while and feel compotent in several processes.

Some people have asked that each group have a mix of beginners and advanced alt-process printers, so individuals are ranking themselves to aid the organizers in forming the groups, so the beginners can learn from the advanced printers, and the advanced printers won't accidentally all get clumped in the same group.

I am back from my travels and just found this thread.

Count me in for round two.

As for status, I am probalbly Intermediate, possibly "E". You'll have to ask the people who received images to find out for certain.

Love to do another exchange.

I'm a novice too.

I'm calling BULL on Matt! His print is beautiful. I showed it to my wife and we're going to mat and frame it.

I'm printing my VDB's today and will mail them out hopefully before Friday. Hopefully they'll suffice...the two examples I recieved, from Matt and Steve are very nice.

Count me in for round two. I'm a novice.

Gerhard contacted me regarding the photgraph I sent fro round one of the exchange. He convinced me to overcome my reluctance to scan my platinum work.

I posted 5 images from my series "Sculptural Bodies" in the gallery. #4 was the one I sent out to group 5 of the exchange.

Allen,

Thank you for posting these. I find your "Sculptural Bodies" series endlessly fascinating - it's a body of work unlike anything I've seen. Maybe you should describe how you achieve this look. There's quite a bit of work involved manipulating the negative.
