Hello,I recently got scanner,Microtek Artixscan 1800f and after exploring one from two enclosed software(Microtek Scan Wizard Pro V6.501)programs,found myself strugling with above mentioned product.
I would be very glad if some more expierience could be shared regarding software used for scanning different size film material.

P.S.Other program I got is,Silver Fast Ai 6,from Lasersoft Imaging,Germany.

I have used this scanner and it is very good.
Are you on a mac or pc?
when using scan wizard.

1) Do an overview
2a) set resolution, colour or b&w, neg or pos, colour depth, etc.. and these settings will apply to all the individual selections.
3a)select individually the items to scan
or
2b)select an area to scan
3b)set parameters as in 2a
-- repeat 2b and 3b as needed

4) select scan a dialog box may appear asking for a file name and whether or not you wish the program to increment the succeeding scans -- answer accordingly.

I hope that helps.

Silverfast has a tool bar that steps you through all the possible steps. You can recognize it by being a vertical thing with an airplane icon.
