Aloha and thanks in advance. I'm looking to move one of my enlargers on a short air flight and I'm look for ideas for shipping. Does anyone have an photo or idea of the original factory shipping container/boxes for a Leica Focamat 1c. I won't be shipping a baseboard since the original was lost and I figure I can fashion another one.

I would consider a wooden crate into which the enlarger is hung at its collumn, like a clothing rack. Maybe with an additional, central post.

After examining my Focomat, I do believe that is likely I'll try; I had a LF kit where the camera was positioned in a similar fashion. I think I'm going to find a larger plastic storage box and then create the cradle support out of foam. It is a very short flight 23 minutes so it'll go with the usual baggage.
