I WANT THIS for my PRINT scans!!!
That too!
I WANT THIS for my PRINT scans!!!
And you did not ...
You must have had a traumatic experience as a child at IKEA.
I am guessing you are not IKEA’s target demographic.
FWIW, over the years we have had excellent, very functional service from a lot of IKEA furniture. We have some older models that are still serving us well after several years, and a couple of newer, inexpensive bookshelves that look fine and are functioning and wearing well.
You can pay more, and get worse from others.
Just as you can pay more and get better from others.
Of course I did but it was in the 1970s. Wait 1960s. I can’t talk about it either. Shhhhhhh
You do have to be careful buying from them, but I agree they do make some good quality products. I have a couple of chairs from them on my front porch that are made of solid eucalyptus and are holding up quite well. Not fancy, but comfortable and hard to beat for the price.FWIW, over the years we have had excellent, very functional service from a lot of IKEA furniture. What was your first clue?
My first clue was that you are ga-ga over Hasselblads. But then both Hasselblad and IKEA are Swedish, so that didn't make sense. And you have said before on several occasions that you got your Hasselblads cheap, and IKEA furniture is cheap, so that couldn't be it. So I may retract my earlier statement and say you are in IKEA's target demographic because you like cheap stuff from Sweden.
My first clue was that you are ga-ga over Hasselblads…..
Do you know how to tell if a photo was shot with a Hasselblad? Don’t worry, the photographer will tell you.
One can if it includes the rebate. One cannot by looking at a print.
No way I'd spend money on a Hassie print unless it did come with a rebate.
Comparing the two I find regular Google search provides better and more expansive choices and info than Bing AI which gives a quick and limited response, good for people who don't want to do much analysis and follow-up.
You think Instagram is currently all that different? Or the neatly framed prints you buy at Ikea et al.?
Of course AI is not going to ever be a threat to photography as such, even though it will replace some of it.
There will be AI-imagery for the masses, replacing the muzak-equivalent of 'art' that adorns low-grade hotel rooms. There will be AI that is used by artists as just another tool to express themselves. And there's going to be photography, painting, sculpting, drawing and all those other ways of expression existing right next to it, and sometimes synergistically so.
I don't get the angst. There's no need for it.
