The blue anti halation layer is sticking in a few spots on my film. It is in the same place on each sheet and comes completely off in my final wash. The negative is developing evenly so this is not HARMING anything just confusing me. Has anyone had the same experience? Any thoughts as to the cause? This has happened on 4 sheets of 4x5 Tri-X from a box of which I've ALREADY developed 40 sheets without incident. I'm doing everything as I normally do including a generous pre-soak. Best. Shawn

Good Evening, Shawn,

"Sticking"--?? Do you mean that one sheet is partially sticking to the one adjacent to it in the box? I've never experienced that. Moisture would seem to be the obvious culprit, but I'm sure you've thought of that, too.

No, sheets are not sticking together... the AH layer is simply not coming off the film in a few places until the final wash is through. Normally it's all gone by the time I turn the lights on. As I said the film is still developing evenly and it does wash off after about 20 minutes in the drink but it seems strange, especially since the first 40 sheets of the box were fine.
