To be honest, if, if, I would have genuine AGFA film, I would feel lucky and treasure it.
But you are right to look for it and I wish you all the luck...

BTW, Aviphot is indeed genuine AGFA-Gevaert film (made in Mortsel) but not the same as the famous AGFAPAN film.

That is absolutely not true. Those two emulsions are as different as they could possibly be. And yes - I speak from personal experience.

RPX in 120 was claimed to be an APX 100 equivalent. My experience with it was that the emulsion was similar but that base was much more curly when dry. It's almost as if they had slit the same material for APX 100 for 35mm large enough to make 120 instead.

I don't know about the stuff branded as Agfa, but the Rollei RPX 100 (120 rolls) is identical to Kentmere. I've used both and found they look and behave identically.

The agfaphoto is made in the Uk.
I thought rollei was repackaged agfa aviphot, is that strictly the ones labeled as centered? I know that's a different thread.
The rpx is kentmere?

Knowledgeable people will know that this this Kentmere 100 film is sold as Agfaphoto APX100, Agfa Agfapan APX100 is another film, made by Agfa in Leverkusen.

I have some old "real" Agfa APX 100 I'd be happy to shift. I'd have to dig it out of the freezer, but I should have 5-10 rolls. Expiration is somewhere in 2006 - 2010 as far as I recall. I've never actually checked, but I've heard if said the Adox Silvermax films were the same recipe. If you want fresher (or fresh-ish) film maybe look for some Silvermax?

Silvermax was never made in 120. As far as I know Silvermax was made with ingredients that were left over from the Agfa insolvency, but not that it was exact the same.

I've also heard that a lot of APX100 was made after bankruptcy, because it was cheaper to sell this films at very low prices rather than discarding all the ingredients. Combined with the previous point, I think only one or two components in Silvermax were the same as Agfapan APX100, not all.
