I have a nice pair of these safe lights, but can't find any online documentation as to the application. Being that color is in their name, I assumed safe for RA4, but am unsure.

The MFG tag says "Type 9412/620" if that is of any assistance.

Due to the amount of time it takes for them to warm-up to full operating brightness, I assume they must have a sodium vapor type bulb.

The light output looks suspiciously like a Kodak OC safe light output.

Anyone with a definitive answer?

Ah never mind. I found a bit of information.

They use a 10 volt low pressure Sodium Vapor lamp that is "collectable" by "'lamp collectors" (who knew?) and they are totally unobtainable.

I see examples of the lamp selling on Ebay for $110 USD. Insane.

Too bad, they are incredibly well constructed and have a mechanical aperture to dim the output.
