Hi All,

I found an on-line retailer (Ultrafine Online) at http://ultrafineonline.com that is selling bulk Agfa APX 100 at about $25 per 100 ft. roll. I am wondering if anyone had any dealings with this retailer and if the product they sell is of acceptable quality. In addtion, they are also selling Agfa Optima II in 100ft. quantities at about $17 per roll. I've been assured that these products are not expired but the colour film is not as fresh as the black and white. I know there is a colour film forum but it saves me from starting two threads. I hope this doesn't violate the forum rules too badly.

Any comment or insights on these films from this retailer would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Regards,

Anthony Nardelli

That looks enticing. They have some good prices on enlarging papers under their own brand as well.

I bought 1000 sheets of Agfa MCP 312 (5 x 7) paper from them about 2 months ago. So far, so good.

I bought a 30 meter roll of APX 100 from Ultrafine back in the spring. I shot several rolls last summer with good results. No complaints about the film or store from my end.

Yup, I've been shooting the APX 100 and 400 for quite some time now. Good stuff, good seller. No fogging at all and it does say Agfa on the edge of the negs. IMO, they bought a bunch of it before or at the time Agfa went under.

This is good news. The price is right and if it's the real thing I'll be more than happy.

Sounds nice, but what about those of use who shoot MF? We'd like some APX 100 too.

Yup, this stuff is the real thing. I got 5 - 30 meter rolls from them. No problem with ordering and all arrived quickly.

I just wished I could find some APX 100 in 120 format.

We've been using Photo Warehouse for the photo program at school for more than 5 years. No problems at all. They had been selling Ilford and, I think, Agfa rebrand for cheap in the old days. Don't know what they are branding now but the quality of their service has always been good.

Agfa Film From Untrafineonline

I have also had good experience with Photo Warehouse. Last year I bought 100 foot 35mm rolls of Agfa color film at a local store. The store didnlt know anything about them but for $1 each I was a sport. It turned out that both rolls were unperforated. I think they were used in snme kind of motorized system for school photography and I may eventually find some use for them. Make sure the color film from Photo Warehouse is perforated.

I'm just starting shooting and developing my own c-41 (and cross processed slides) and Ultrafine's short-dated/out-of-date Fuji color films look to be a steal!

These guys are great - even happy to ship to Australia at a very reasonable price. I purchased 5 bulk rolls from them (minimum they'd do for an OS shipment) and they all arrived safe and sound.
Now I just have to find room in the fridge for my beers.........

No, just a lot of beer and not a big enough beer fridge
Plus, it's not only those five bulk rolls. I also stocked up big from Agfa stock here in Australia: 20 bulk rolls, 20 pro packs of 120 and 50 pro packs of 35mm.

APX 100 roll film 120?

No problem folks,

get the ROLLEI RETRO 100 + 400, then you have the original APX 100 + 400 roll film!

Cheers

Yeah right,

only now I'd have to pay MACO's hugely over-inflated price for the stuff. Thanks for nothing! BTW, if yer going to spam the forums on behalf of MACO, why don't you become a Sponsor or at least a Subscriber to APUG since you've been doing nothing but posting about your products, which amounts to nothing more than free advertising.
