In my opinion CT Precisa is still very good value for money, it costs about from 6 to 9/10 Euros per roll, but for that you are getting : extremely fine grain ( RMS 8 ), virtually none in fact, it's grain ( Provia 100F's ) is finer than Kodachrome 25! when it came out in 1999 they realised that to find any grain it had to be looked at under a microscope at i believe x30 magnification, it also has very high sharpness, awesome colour saturation and contrast.
If it weren't for the new Ektachrome coming next year i would have probably bought 20 rolls of CT Precisa by now and put them in my freezer at -25C to have a nice supply of it to use on more special occasions, 20 rolls would probably last me at very least 2 years, i'm holding my breath on the price of the new Ektachrome, Kodak has said that they are going to produce it on a smaller scale, that is adjusted for demand, if it's about the same price as Provia 100F is currently i'll be ok with that, if it's more like the price of Velvia 50 i won't buy as many.
