That should work fine. Release cables are one of the few standardized parts in photography. There are some exceptions, especially on newer electronic cameras, but practically all of the shutters use the same setup.
There are two cable-release threads standardized, but practically all cameras take the conical thread. Very few models need an adapter, which is common.
But in your case the plain conical thread will be fine
First time I hear of JJC. I bought all my cable releases out of rummage boxes, which gave the advantage that I knew what I get.
There also is the small german manufacturer Schreck who offers still a variety of materials, mechanisms and lengths.
