Hello people, some time ago I bought a roll of 24cmX150m (yes, metres) of AVIPHOT PAN 200 PE1 or this what it says on the label, expired during the '90s.
This
looks like mine.
1) This film is thick! Very thick!
2) While it says 24cm on the label the film's width is only 22cm or so.
3) I exposed and developed in paper developer (neutol) with no image coming. Some pieces came black, some did not (depended on the exposure?).
4) After fixing in plain hypo fixer, the base is a semitransparent red. It is so redish that looks like a safety filter!
5) Tried bleach-fixing in C41 BLIX (!) with the same red results.
Does anybody came across this film? It is supposed to be a quite normal bw film (ok, with the PE1 thicker base) the same with what rollei is cutting to 135 and sells. Do I have some other kind of film with the wrong sticker on it? Does it need some kind of special processing (agfa's datasheet says not)?
Best regards from Greece!
