RE: the scratch, do you mean that scratch 1/3 up from the bottom? That will probably be a dust particle somewhere on the emulsion side of where the film goes across the exposure area. Just blow out the camera well, be sure all dust is gone. Also be sure that there aren't any scratchmakers on the pressure plate.
Sell it to someone with a mamiya 6 or mamiya 7 panoramic adaptor. Will work slick there... Or buy Blackbird Fly camera from Freestyle
The problem is that is seems not too many 35mm non-perf films are available. APX-100 seems to plentiful as dirt, and I have also found Portra 160 (NC, I believe).
That is an issue, but there are some amazing microfilms which you can get in non-perfed 35mm format. Fuji HRII and Agfa Copex, to name two.
They are sharp as hell (no grain) but controlling contrast is difficult and developing can be hit and miss (i've used rodinal 1+200, 60 minute stand as well as diafine 3+3 and Diafine 4+4).
Ive attached an example of the HRII done in the rodinal soup mentioned above
Why not load that film to a simple pinhole camera?
******828 film had paper backing and perfs both. At least it did last time I worked with it. The perfs were really odd, more like 126 type.

You might contact a movie film processing lab and find out if any of them have perforation services. With all of the different 35mm film perforation formats needed to handle movie film I have to believe some lab out there has this capability. Having 30 100ft rolls of APX 100 would be worth something based on the number of people who treat this film as a cult classic.
The O.P meant he bought it by mistake, not that it was made without perforations by mistake. Not perforated stock was made on purpose, not a mistake. There seem to be a few (surveillance?) cameras taking this.
The show up quite often on german ebay and you have to read carefully and understand that the small "np" means: no perforation
