I just returned home to find a wonderful surprise in my mailbox in the form of Sam Portera's (Sportera) new book "After the Water". Spectacular! Extremely well done Sam! Great to finally hold these images in my hands after months of admiring them online. Check it out APUGgers... you won't be disappointed.

I just got home today and, like Bill, was greeted with a wonderful surprise from Sam. It is a beautiful book, and I highly recommend it.

Does any european distributor carry the book? I would love the get a copy but want to avoid any extra shipping from the US (I haven't checked the shipping costs, maybe they are not so bad in the end).

I'll add my voice to the chorus: I received my copy yesterday (Monday) and encourage everyone to purchase a copy, put it on your Holiday wish list, buy several as gifts. It really is stunning to see a collection of Sam's photographs all at once. Maybe one day I will be fortunate enough to view the actual prints, but till then there is "After the Water."

I'll be ordering one, but Sam, do you have plans to pitch it to a commercial publisher? I think the work deserves wider circulation than you'll likely get from Lulu, and a commercial publisher can also get you potentially higher quality, more consistent reproductions.
