AE camera with Leica M mount: best alternative for 2024?

If I were to get a Leica I would get a meterless M. It's a lot more fun that way.
 
I have not read the entire thread. Buy a M7, and sell if you dont like it.

Then you have a M4/M-A. Which is cool.
 
If you have used the M3 and M2 for 40 years, I'm surprised that you want some automation. You can't automate vision.
