Hi all,
Long time reader, first time poster.
I've been using the forum a great deal to swat up but I've got a question on behalf of a more knowledgable friend.
He's been looking around for a Durst Pictochrom Elite Plus and has found one yesterday on ebay (not sure if i'm allowed to put links so I'll not stick it on)
What does he need to know? Are they worth anything second hand? What's a decent price to pay?
Thank you in advance.

The Pictochrom is one of Durst's many professional, computer controlled enlargers. They cost tens of thousands of dollars new (think $20,000 or more), so I imagine they would be worth quite a bit second hand. One thing to watch out for is the electronics—they have been known to fail over time—but provided everything is in good shape, I'd definitely go for it!
