Hi,

I've developed some negatives, 5x4 sheet, but they seem to have a dull/matt appearance on both sides, I used the same process with Classic Pan 200 sheet and Fomapan 100 sheet and they had 1 side glossy. Is this normal?

Thanks in Advance

Yes, the Efke sheet films have a matt base to make retouching easier. It's the way they're made.

A more useful benefit is that they don't give newton rings in glass negative carriers

Hi Ole,

thanks for that, is it a feature unique to Efke? It wasn't affecting the printing but it was unexpected.
