I have some Adox CHS 100 to use. I used Rodinal 1:50 for the first roll and it wasn't bad. But there was a bit more contrast than I was looking for so I thought I might try some D-23 this time. However, I can't seem to find a recipe so I thought I would try to develop in D-23 at 68F for 10 minutes as a starting point.

What say you?

I would expose it at ASA 80 and try D-23 1:1 for 9min @ 68F

Sorry. Holidays got in the way. Roll of Adox CHS 100 ii is in the camera for a try at developing with D-23.

We have been getting quite a bit of snow mixed with a bit of rain occasionally. Makes for a bit of contrast when the sun comes out.

10 minutes seems a bit much. For D-23, 20% of [edit: added to] D-76 time is generally a good starting point. Worked for me in replenished D-23 for Tri-X, HP5+ and FP4+, but I haven't tried with CHS 100ii.

Low contrast scenes, do constant agitation first 30 seconds + 5 seconds agitation (2 or 3 inversions) every following 30 seconds. Normal contrast, constant agitation 1st minute + 3 to 5 inversions every minute. High contrast, constant agitation first 30 seconds + 2 inversions every following minute. Again, this works for me for Tri-X and HP5+, but I'm not familiar enough with the natural contrast of CHS 100 ii know exactly how it will come out.
