Adorama Howuse Brand Papers

I'm wondering if any of you people out there have or are using Adorama's house brand papers. I ask because I think that their current line of papers is pretty darned good and very inexpensive. So I'm curious, what do you think of Adorama's papers? The price is competitive with Freestyle's Arista.EDU Ultra line, but the two papers are very different. Compared to the Arista.EDU Ultra paper, the Adorama paper is cooler and has more contrast for a given filter setting. Both are pretty good and there's a place in my darkroom for both.

I'm using the glossy RC stuff (shudder haha) they have for contact sheets and proofs.

And yes, I think it's pretty darn good especially for the price.
I printed some PMK souped tri x on it and the skin tones were real nice.
Wonder where it comes from?

Best I've heard from a clerk in the store is that the base comes from the Czech Republic and that it's coated in England. Hmmm. Harmon Technologies doing contract work maybe? No apology necessary for using RC paper. I think it's fine for a lot of work. I've given away any number of prints made on the RC paper to friends who have had them mounted and are on the walls now. The RC paper is so easy to finish and they look great. BTW, nice work with those models on your site, Bruce.

Several people on here have been saying that Harmon does do contract manufacturing to specification. They do not re-brand their own, though.

I really like the Adorama paper. Using the glossy RC variety and it works OK for me. I think that MGIV does give a slightly better end result but it's also quite a bit more expensive. Have not tried the Arista yet, but it is on my list.

Harmann produces at least Adox Variotone and Bergger papers.
