I am in the process of buying a Nikon F2s with DP2 viewfinder.

The cells are still sensitive enough to render correct exposure values in daylight. But the meter is a stop under in low light.

Are there pots in this unit that allow for calibration? If so, how do you check it disassembled?

Hi George
Did you get any further with this? I just got a DP2 which under-reads about 1.5 stops above EV 10 (100ASA) which I can easily adjust by changing the film speed. However under EV10 is gets increasingly erratic to the point where it is out by 3 stops or more. I will only risk taking it apart if there are some easy to find adjusters inside. I have a working DP1 but I find the DP2 seems to have a cleaner and brighter prism - but maybe the DP1 is a bit dirty.
Thanks

Gareth

Hi George
Did you get any further with this?

I didn't buy this particular camera, but did buy a late model Photomic (DP-1 with wire ring resistor).

I found out that these finders have 2 adjustment pots. One for the high values, and one for the low.

You should be able to find the info online.

Check with Richard Ha.

HI

Thanks for your reply! There is a lot on the DP1 online but the DP2 is elusive. No-one seems to have a copy of a repair manual. I will keep hunting!

Thanks again
