I have a Godox flash for my Panasonic M43 camera, and I'm wondering if it'll fit the Canon and Fuji in manual mode? I intend to try but I'd like assurance it won't fry a circuit before going ahead.

You need to be careful with the pins on the bottom of the flash and top of the flash shoe.
A remote trigger of some kind would be a good idea.

Put a piece of thin tape on the bottom of the hot shoe to insulate all the pins. Cut a hole for the center pin. That would work. However the other pins may not in the same places and you don't need to do this.

Well, I've tried it on the X-Pro1 and the Canon 5D and both work with the Godox in manual mode. Physically, the pins aren't an issue, the flash lock requires a number of turns to engage shoe contacts. The question is whether the flash is sending duff info to the camera's central processor which may confuse it. I assume only the central pin is doing the hard work, so I can cut out a simple blanking sheet for the rest.
