Acuspecial FX21 developer as alternative to stand development

I have a feeling that Keith may have been posting #72 primarily for those interested in FX-21 but who for many and varied reasons cannot or do not want to make it themselves

Yes. Not everyone would want to mix from scratch.

You would probably end up with the same results as FX21.

Of course, and I would like to try some of this product against my home-made stuff to see how close they are.

I'm curious to see if there is any difference between FX21 and 23RX as for shelf life and negative wise. Not enough to go out and buy some or mix some, but just curious. One thing about mixing up a developer like FX21 compared to what I'm used to making is that the more ingredients there are the much better chance I have to F-up the whole dang developer.

You are most likely correct, since it is based on FX-21. I'm not going to bother. Besides, unobtainable in Canada and I'm not dropping a chunk of change to bring it over from Europe...

No, just take your time, use a scale that measures small quantities. I have two scales, one for small quantities and one for very small quantities.

Oh, I'm pretty sure I could manage mixing it just fine, but for the films I use I'm fairly happy with what I'm using right now and they're easier to mix. Besides, my developers are already mixed and will probably have a longer shelf life than I have to live anyway.

Can you please disclose the formula and the semi-stand procedure? Thank you

3 parts A + 2 parts B to 150 parts distilled water.
Three minute pre-soak in water, 1 minute agitation in pyrocat-HDC (or HD). Then rest 10 min. 20 secs. agitation, 10 min. rest, 20 sec. agitation, 10 min. rest then stop and fix.
