Gerald - Googling for Maxim M Muir’s HIgh Acutance film developer doesn’t pull up a formula, at least for me. Any chance of providing it here?
Here you are, enjoy.
Maxim M Muir's Acutence Version of D-76
Stock Solution A
Distilled water (50°C) …………………………………………… 750 ml
Metol ………………………………………………………………………………………… 10.0 g
Sodium sulfite (anhy) ……………………………………………… 40.0 g
Sodium metabisulfite ………………………………………………… 10.0 g
Hydroquinone ……………………………………………………………………… 25.0 g
Distilled water to make ………………………………………… 1.0 l
Stock Solution B
Distilled water (50°C) …………………………………………… 750 ml
Sodium metaborate ………………………………………………………… 50.0 g
Distilled water to make ………………………………………… 1.0 l
Notes
Not all the hydroquinone may go into solution and therefore Stock Solution A should be shaken before making the working solution.
For use take 1 part of Solution A, 1 part of Solution B, and 8 parts of water. Development times should be the same as for D-76 diluted 1+1.
